Rodian Ration Recipe: Star Wars Jello Shots with Boba and Pop Rocks
If you’ve ever been to Oga’s Cantina in Disney World Orlando….you’ve probably seen or heard of this interesting concoction! It’s a weird version of a jello shot with pop rocks, popping boba, alcohol, and dried fruit on top in a petri dish!
This is fantastic for Star Wars themed parties or an intriguing Halloween treat. This is my recipe inspired by the one we had at Oga’s Cantina so it does contain alcohol (you’re 21+ right?).
Rodian Ration from Oga’s Cantina copycat recipe from Disney World Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge will have you feeling you’re actually at Oga’s Cantina Outer Rim Bar – These petri dish jello shots with boba and pop rocks are perfect for Halloween or parties!
Sidenote: I really recommend Total Wine and More if you’re in the DFW area, they are always so nice and available to help whenever you need recommendations or anything else.

Star Wars Rodian Ration Jello Shots
Serving Size:
24 petri dishes
Time:
Prep Time: 25 min
Total Time: 12-24 hours
Difficulty:
Easy
Ingredients
Petri Dishes for the containers
-
1 box Green Apple Gelatin Jello (I used the Sonic Green Apple Jello)
-
3/4 cup Tito’s Vodka
-
3/4 cup De Kuyper Pucker Sour Apple
-
1/2 cup cold Sprite
-
Popping Boba (I chose Mango but Green Apple is the closest to what they use at Disney) – 2 containers recommended
-
Pop Rocks (Green Apple and Strawberry)
-
Good and Gather Freeze Dried Blueberries
Directions
-
Mix on Stovetop: Tito’s Vodka and De Kuyper Pucker Sour Apple, then add 1 box of Green Apple Gelatin Jello Mix. Keep stirring until the heat starts to boil. Turn off the heat and pull aside.
-
Add cold sprite slowly and gently stir until all are combined. Let it cool for 2-5 minutes.
-
Set out your Petri dishes and start adding the popping boba to the containers as the jello mixture cools off.
-
Gently pour the cooled jello mixture over the boba until the containers are about 4/5 full.
-
Refrigerate for 12-24 hours or until firm.
-
Serve with pop rocks and freeze-dried blueberries and enjoy!
Tip: Don’t add pop rocks or freeze-dried fruit to the containers until ready to serve. The pop rocks will melt and the fruit will get soft.
